| "SO HELP ME GOD!" | |
| By A. Glenn Brady on1/29/2009 | |
| | Now that President Barack Obama has assumed the chair of the presidency, we can all give a sigh of relief. At that moment on January 20, 2009, with the words, "So help me God," many prayers were answered as we witnessed the first African-American to assume the role of the leader of the free world. But the question now becomes, "how do you support the President when it conflicts with your Christian views?" | | | Comments (6) | More... |

| MISSISSIPPI BURNING AGAIN? | |
| By A. Glenn Brady on11/26/2008 | |
| Greetings everyone and happy Thanksgiving! Amidst all the turmoil and economic challenges of today, we have a lot to be thankful for and can declare, “God has been good.” As President-elect Obama is forming his staff and cabinet, it’s still hard to believe that the election is over. I still have my “Vote Obama-Biden” sign in my front yard. In fact, all my neighbors still have signs in their yards too. None of us want to take them down, as if it will change the results. ... | | | Comments (28) | More... |

| "IT HAPPENED!" | |
| By A. Glenn Brady on11/7/2008 | |
| I launched my first of a series of blogs that I entitled “The Obama Watch” on January 8, 2008. (Feel free to check out all the previous blogs from the monthly archives.) After an impressive win in the Iowa Caucus, the question was raised, “Can Obama Become President?” Well almost 10 months later on this past Tuesday as nearly 130 million cast their ballots, “IT HAPPENED!” Barack Obama won a decisive, landslide victory to become the 44th President of the | | | Comments (41) | More... |

| D-DAY IS HERE!!! | |
| By A. Glenn Brady on11/4/2008 | |
| On June 6, 1944 Allied soldiers landed on the shores of Normandy that turned the victory over Hitler's Germany. The invasion was named "D-Day," which simply referred to being the "day" of invasion. Today, November 4, 2008 is the "day" of invasion to the polls. Having just returned from Europe, I can share that the world is anticipating and hoping for an Obama win. While in Italy, I only had CNN news to view on TV in English. I had the opportunity to hear the views and hopes of people throughout Europe, Asia and of course Africa. The global communties of the world feel that an Obama win will aid in healing the damage of a "cowboy" Bush spirit of agression that has polarized are allies & supporters. | | | Comments (15) | More... |

| Less Than Three Weeks. Exhale or Blow? | |
| By A. Glenn Brady on10/15/2008 | |
| The final debate has ended and most pollsters have concluded that should the election occur today, Senator Barak Obama has the votes in the Electoral College to become the 44th President of the United States. The American people have seen a distinct difference between the candidates and in less than three weeks voters will make their selection. For me, as well as most African-Americans, we are | | | Comments (28) | More... |

| IS IT OVER? ONE MONTH TO GO!!! | |
| By A. Glenn Brady on10/7/2008 | |
| Well, in the wake of the second presidential debate between Senator Barak Obama and Senator John McCain, the initial polls once again indicate that Obama is the winner. Yes, “That One” is the winner (referring to McCain’s off-the-cuff remark during the debate about Obama). That means the scorecard looks something like this: Obama/Biden - 3 and McCain/Palin – 0. With one month before Election Day, the NBC/Wall Street Journal poll has Oba ... | | | Comments (31) | More... |
